The Regulations for the Community (Part 4)
About the burial of the dead -
Conscious living -
The spiritually dead - God does not
want repeated incarnations (1-4). The one who has found his way to his inner God needs no
earthly leaders - Criteria for the
genuineness of those responsible: serving selflessly - About clothing: Inner beauty becomes visible on the outside (5-7). Growth and
livelihood of the community, a task in common (8-10)
1. And another asked Him, "Master, how is Your will that we bury our dead? And Jesus answered, "Seek counsel from the deacons in this matter, for it concerns only the body. Verily, I say to you, there is no death for those who believe in the life to come. What you believe to be death is the door to life, and the grave is the gate to resurrection for those who believe and obey. Do not mourn nor weep for those who have left you, but rather rejoice for their entrance into life.
2. As all creatures come forth from the unseen into this world, so do they return to the unseen and so will they come again till they are purified. Let their bodies be committed to the elements, and the Father, who renews all things, will charge the angels to look after them. Let the elders pray that their bodies may rest in peace and their souls awaken to a joyful resurrection.
3. There is a resurrection from the body and there is a resurrection into the body. There is an ascent from the life of the flesh and a descent into the life of the flesh. Let prayers be spoken for those who have gone before and for those who are alive and for those who are yet to come, for all are one family in God. In God they live, move and have their being.
4. The body which you lay in the grave or which is
consumed by fire is not the body that will be; for those who come will receive other
bodies, but nevertheless their own, and as they have sown in one life, so will they reap
in another. Blessed are those who suffer wrong in this life, for they will have greater
joy in the life to come. Blessed are those who have practised righteousness in this life,
for they will receive the crown of life. (Chap. 94:1-4)
I, Christ, explain, correct
and deepen the word:
There is only one decomposable body; it is the material body, which is from the earth and becomes earth again.
Therefore, I advise you to give the dead body, that which is from the earth, back to the earth. Just as the leaves of the trees that fall to the earth in autumn are given back to the earth, so is the decomposable body, too, given back to the earth.
Your graveyards should not be decorated with tombstones and all kinds of embellishments. The flowers which the earth brings forth are the most beautiful adornments. And if you wish, and if it is customary according to the earthly law, a small stone or a wooden board may bear the name of the decomposable body which was given to the earth.
If the decomposable body was given to the fire, put the ashes in a vessel which will be kept in a burial chamber until the time has come when it also falls apart and returns to what it is made of. Vessels of clay would be good for the remains of the body.
You can give the ashes of the body to the winds, the element air, if this is in accordance with the still existing worldly laws. The wind scatters the ashes of the former body and gives them back to the earth.
There is no death of the soul. Whatever comes from God lives eternally and whatever comes from the earth will become earth again.
Therefore, strive to fulfil the eternal law and to live in the law of love, so that your soul, while in the body, may attain the resurrection from spiritual death, namely the conscious life which the soul actualizes in word and deed, while in the person.
Conscious living means to actualize and fulfil the laws of love. In this way, man gains clarity and will think and act lawfully. Then, after the death of the body, the soul will immediately resurrect and go into more light-filled spheres in accordance with the life of the soul and the body, or will ascend into the light, into the heavens.
As long as the earthly laws exist, these words hold true: Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is due to God. Therefore, strive to keep the laws of God and to fulfil the earthly laws, too, insofar as they do not violate the divine law. For the one who offends against God, the universal law, burdens himself.
The one who does not know the eternal law of life, nor wants to know it or experience it, is spiritually dead. Therefore, only spiritually dead people will mourn their dead, believing that these have left them. But these have just moved into the fine-material life which cannot be perceived with the eyes of the body.
Rejoice when a light-filled soul has risen from the grave of the human ego and, after the death of the body, enters into the light-filled kingdom, into the heavens - into the life which is granted to those who have lived in the Spirit, in the true life, while still in the earthly garment.
It is the will of the Father-Mother-God and of the Son, who I Am, that the soul in the earthly garment purify itself to such a degree that it no longer returns to the flesh, into a new body of earth which was begotten by an earthly man and carried by an earthly woman. When the soul comes back to earth, the new body corresponds to the condition of the soul, to its characteristics. The light and shadowed sides of the soul thus shape the earthly body. The material body of the reincarnated soul is the house into which it has entered to clear away its shadows, on earth, in the school of life of incarnated souls.
The light of the day shows to man what he should accomplish each day. Thus, the moments and minutes are precious energies for self-recognition. The one who makes use of the moments, the minutes and the hours, and thus lives in the present, gains mastery over himself. He possesses precious life energy in his soul and in his body.
A soul will keep on wanting to incarnate again until it bears more light than shadow.
Light-filled souls, too, strive to come to earth in order to serve those who struggle with their shadows. As long as these souls stay in the light, they are not bound to the law of sowing and reaping. After their physical death, they go back into the light. So there is an ascent from the life of the flesh and a descent into the life of the flesh.
Pray to the Father-Mother-God that He may give you new life energies every day, so that you may recognize what you should accomplish this day - so that you will return to more light-filled kingdoms after your physical death, so that you do not descend into the life of the flesh anymore.
Pray for the departed, so that they may recognize their path and walk on the path to the divine, to the Kingdom of Peace. But pray also for those who will come, so that in the spheres of purification they may recognize what needs to be done in the earthly garment.
The one who lives in God moves in God and has his being in God.
The person who lives in and with the world will have his existence in the world again and again and will continue to live in the world until he uses the days to attain the spiritual, which, after all, is life.
The one who, as a human being, pulls through and remains in the light of the truth, in God, and suffers injustice in God, despite the temptations of the darkness, will have great joy in the eternal Being, because he did not have to forgive nor did he have to ask for forgiveness. He has lived and lives in God. And the one who remained righteous despite temptations, that is, who kept the eternal laws, will wear the crown of love in eternal life.
5. And another asked Him, "Master, under the law, Moses clad the priests with splendid garments for their services in the temple. Shall we also likewise clothe those we have entrusted with the holy services which You have taught us? And Jesus answered, "White linen is the righteousness of the saints; but verily, the time will come when Zion will be desolate and, when the time of her affliction is over, she will arise and put on her beautiful garments, as it is written.
6. But seek first the kingdom of righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Seek simplicity in all things and give no chance to vain glory. Seek first to be clad with mercy and with the garment of salvation and the cloak of righteousness.
7. For what does it profit if you have not these? You are
like the sound of brass and the tinkling of cymbals, if you have not love. Seek
righteousness, love and peace, and all things of beauty will be added to you.
(Chap. 94:5-7)
I, Christ, explain, correct
and deepen the word:
Recognize that there is no castigation in the law of love. The law does not take anything from man that he still wants to keep. The law leads man out of his habits, traditions, opinions and egocentricities and allows many things until man has found himself in Me, the law. This is how Moses, too, acted.
However, the one who looks solely at Me and actualizes the laws needs no outer splendour nor human leaders. He has found his leader and Redeemer within himself. It is Christ, who I Am, the Good Shepherd of all faithful sheep.
Therefore, do not strive for outer prestige or human leaders. In God there is equality. For this reason, in My community, the angel and the elders should be neither more nor less important than the community. In Me there is only one people, which keeps the eternal laws of love.
Why do people elect their earthly leaders again and again? Because they have not placed the Spirit of Christ in the centre of their life. Mankind will need its worldly idols until it has found the way to the inner truth. When a person has found his way to his inner God, to the Father-Mother-God, he does not look up to any human idol, but fulfils the eternal laws and is pleasing to God. With like-minded people, he will then form the family of God on earth.
As long as people who form the community or the communities in Me, the Christ, are in the process of evolution, there will, again and again, be people who have already reached a higher spiritual maturity. These will then be the angels and the elders, the healers-by-faith, the spiritual teachers and the leaders of the Inner Spirit-of-Christ Churches in the community. The one who has matured in Spirit does not claim to be better than his neighbour.
A criterion for the genuineness of an angel and an elder and all the others who preside over the community is selflessness, serving selflessly without caring for reward or acknowledgement.
This does not concern the activities in Christian enterprises and social establishments. There, one fulfils the law of "pray and work and will receive a salary, so that he may subsist in the material life. But here, too, it is said: Work selflessly in service for your neighbour. Then you, too, will receive.
Selflessness in the service of the community, as angel and elder, should not fall under the law of "pray and work. It is the selfless service without reward.
Seek first to attain righteousness and selfless love, then you will receive and possess everything you need and beyond that. The one who serves selflessly will also earn. For the will of God is with him and the Father-Mother-God will take care of him, so that he lacks nothing.
Clothe yourself with the adornment of virtue, with the strength of love and mercy, and you will be delivered from what still clings to the worldly man - his human ego, which is reflected in many facets: in pomp and splendour, in outer wealth, in wanting to be and in claims of possession, in envy, hatred and enmity.
Moses conceded splendid garments to the priests, because they had not yet developed mercy, and the people wanted it that way.
The one who is permeated with love, mercy and justice is saved. He will dress and behave according to his inner radiation.
The one who keeps the eternal laws will also dress in colours consistent with the harmony of the divine law. The basic powers of the Spirit are the seven basic colours of the heavens. They are like the colours of the rainbow.*
The selfless person is tidy, clean and tastefully dressed in a colour from the spectrum of the rainbow. However, he will not wrap himself in pomp and splendour.
The selfless person will not show off or be conspicuous. He will radiate what he has actualized - also by his clothing.
As a person senses, thinks, speaks and acts, so he is and so he behaves in his family and in public.
As he is, so he eats. And as he is and eats, so he behaves and clothes himself.
A person can hide his ego for a long time and deceive the unenlightened one. The time comes for each one when his ego becomes visible and he shows what he really is.
Each one recognizes in himself where he stands; each one is his own measure; in this, his neighbour is his mirror: For what he dislikes in his neighbour, what agitates him and what he thinks and speaks about in agitation is on and in him in the same or a similar way. Every agitation about one's neighbour is one's own measure.
Find inner beauty through selfless love, peace and righteousness - and everything will be given to you by the Father in heaven.
God does not want His children to live in need, but to be rich in spirit. They will then have what they need and much more, also as human beings, so that they may share with those who are on the way from outer poverty and the burdening of the soul to inner beauty and inner wealth.
Therefore, strive first for the Kingdom of God and His justice, and you will then receive everything you need and beyond that. But this does not mean that your hands should be idle. The law for man is "pray and work.
8. And yet another asked Him, "Master, how many of the rich and mighty will enter into life and join us, who are poor and despised? How shall we carry on the work of God in the spiritual regeneration of mankind? And Jesus said, "This is also a matter for the deacons and for the community in counsel with the elders.
9. But when My disciples come together on the Sabbath evening or in the morning of the first day of the week, let each one of them bring an offering of a tithe, be it only the smallest part of their belongings, as God gave them, and put it in the offering box for the maintenance of the community and the services and their works. For I say to you, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
10. So shall all things be done, properly and in order.
And the rest will be put in order by the Spirit who goes forth from the Father in heaven.
I have instructed you now in the first principles, and behold, I Am with you always, even
unto the end of the ages. (Chap. 94:8-10)
I, Christ, explain, correct
and deepen the word:
No wealthy one who calls his possessions his own will enter the Kingdom of God and no powerful one who exerts power over My people will come into heaven.
Both the rich and the powerful are poor in the spirit of love and in the works of mercy. Only when they bow their heads, use their possessions in the right way for the common good, for the people, and are like those who love Me more than this world with its temptations, attractions and pleasures - will they grow in My Spirit and then be with you, who shall be rich in inner values.
The one who repents of his claim to power, his intolerance, his domineering nature and arrogance and makes amends for what he has caused - that is, where it is necessary and appropriate - thus submitting to the eternal laws, will be with My own, and My own will be with him.
So do not say that you are poor, you who have chosen the Kingdom of God. The truly rich are those who do the will of My Father and theirs.
The time is close when My own will possess the earth. For in the time of Christ, there will be neither rich nor poor, neither powerful ones nor subordinates. All are equal in Me: My brothers and sisters - and all of us are the sons and daughters of God.
As long as the inner kingdom gradually grows outwards - that is, becomes visible on the earth through those who do the will of the Father and also through those who have begun to walk the path to the kingdom of the inner being, in order to recognize and fulfil the will of the Father - My own will still need servants of their community: the angel, the elders, the healers-by-faith, the spiritual teachers, the leaders of the Inner Spirit-of-Christ Churches and the other selfless servants of God in the community buildings, schools, kindergartens, Christ-places (which you call "Christ-enterprises and "farms for life) in the "houses for health and in the "houses for the inner home (homes for the elderly) and much more of what one needs and is necessary to live in the temporal.
The help of each individual is needed, so that the community can be maintained and grow larger. Therefore, everyone should contribute a tithe every week or every month and thank God that he is healthy and strong and thus able to serve the eternal Father, the community and his neighbour.
The selfless person will contribute voluntarily, for he knows that all things come from God and all things go back to God.
Just as the sea feeds the lakes and rivers and brooks and these in turn feed the sea, just as the water becomes vapour and clouds and these in turn water the earth, so shall My own also let the energies flow. Only a healthy circulation, a flowing of energy, ensures healthy growth and increase of energy. The one who is connected to this selfless circulation will never suffer want. He observes the streaming eternal law of selfless love and keeps the commandment "pray and work.
The one who keeps the law and the commandments, which are excerpts from the eternal law, will belong to the Christ-people which has only one leader and Redeemer, Christ, who I Am as Son in the Father-Mother-God from eternity to eternity.
These regulations of the community order shall be valid for the community life until all men and beings are one in God, My Father.
Do not despair. I Am with you until the end of time - and as brother in all eternity.
Do not despair. The angels of the heavens are with My own and My own are with the angels of the heavens, with the divine beings, so that it may be on earth as it is in heaven, where love and peace prevail.
The one who is with Me walks under the banner of Christ, which symbolizes the inner kingdom, the Kingdom of Peace: freedom, unity and brotherliness.
All people are one people in Me, the Christ.
